Brief Bio

From College Advisor's Letter of Recommendation:

"Ted is one of those students you only meet a few times in your career...he genuinely influences everyone around him, leading them with his innovative ideas. Ted is the stanchion of hope for many people as he pushes everyone to work towards his lofty ideals...an excellent student, artist, and young entrepreneur, Ted receives my highest recommendation. I am usually rather reserved in my words, but if I had to put money on someone to change the world, it would be Ted."

My Own Take:

I don't like to talk myself up, so I posted a little blurb from a letter of recommendation. Hopefully, I'll live up to the high bar set for me! I am interested in bioengineering, neuroscience, and AI - I am combining all three into an interested medley of a major at Duke University. At the same time, I try to strive beyond mere science in my quest to make an impact on this planet. You see, there are far too many capable people that are simply apathetic. This cannot go on. As such, I'm working on a few new initiatives at Duke including a group called CAUSE as well as a project with my graphic design group, Evoke, to do free work for non-profit organizations. This summer, I will be working with Oxfam in Australia making a documentary.
